Add 1 cup of baking soda and 5-6 drops of essential oil. Choose orange or lavender oil. Mix them well. And transfer it to a shaker. Sprinkle it over your carpet and let it sit there for 15 minutes. While baking soda will absorb the stench, the essential oil will deodorize your carpet.
Add and plug in your air-freshener refill

Don’t throw empty air freshener containers, instead, refill with pure essential oil and reuse. Add filtered water and essential oil and shake the mix. Replace the wick of the dispenser and use it. Now you have a natural air freshener at home! Some of the oils you can use are orange, peppermint, cinnamon, and lemon. Mix oils and get creative. You can also try other combinations.

Use it as natural fabric freshener

You can use essential oils to make your own fabric freshener. Often stores do have such installations, but you can use it at your home too. Here is the instruction to make your fabric freshener at home.

Here are the items you need- 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 1 spray bottle make sure the bottle is empty, 10 drops of essential oils, 1 cups filtered water. Now mix baking soda with essential oil in a pot. Mix it with a fork. Add the mixture to a spray bottle and add into it 2 cups of water. Now shake the mixture before you use it. You can choose any of the essential oil you like. You can add one or two essential oil and make the mixture.
Use it as mold killer: Tee tree oil is also an essential oil which you can use to kill molds. You can use it in your washroom area to avoid molds. What all you need to do is add 1 tablesspoon of tea tree oil in a cup of water. Bring the mixture into a spray bottle. Sprinkle it over the affected area and let it dry. Do not wipe off the sprinkled mixture to get maximum benefit.
